Covid-19: Appeal for generous donation from officers

SHILLONG, March 30, 2020: With the rampant outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in the country and in the context of increasing number of lives being affected by the virus, the Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya has appealed for generous donations from all members of Meghalaya IAS, IPS, IFS, MCS, MFS, Engineering Service, Agricultural Officers and Veterinary Services Associations to join hands together by contributing at least a day’s salary to the Meghalaya Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund. Members who wish to contribute more are most welcome to contribute and donate more than the above minimum contribution.
The circular stated that all contributions should be made by NEFT/RTGS to the Meghalaya Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

The letter further explained that in order to match details with transaction for transfer of funds, it is requested that at the time of NEFT transfer, name, designation, department, association may be indicated in the remarks field indicated in the transaction and on successful completion of NEFT transfer, UTR number (of confirmed transaction), amount deposited, name, name of association, mobile number and email Id details may be sent to Joint Secretary, Election Department at the email address: [email protected]
