Monday coldest in Delhi in 119 years

NEW DELHI, December 30, 2019: Delhi is experiencing its coldest day in 119 years Monday.
Temperature till 2.30pm has been coldest, officials of city’s Safdarjung observatory said.
They said that the lowest maximum temperature so far has been recorded on December 28, 1997, when the mercury had plunged to 11.3 degree Celsius.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red warning for the capital in view of relentless cold wave. The red colour concerns extreme weather conditions.
