Ex Education Minister Arun Kar dies, CM condoles

AGARTALA, February 16, 2020: Former Tripura Minister Arun Kar has passed away at a private hospital in Kolkata Sunday. He was 81. 
Kar was a Minister for Education from 1988 and 1993 in Congress-TUJS alliance government which was voted to power in 1988.
His family informed that the Congress veteran was suffering from some ailments and he breathed his last following a massive cardiac arrest.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has condoled death of former education minister. He sent his condolences to the bereaved family.
Mortal remains of the leader will be cremated at Khowai town which was also his political constituency.
