He graced one day workshop of the sports journalists

AGARTALA, July 02, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha highlighted the potential of technology to transfigure journalism during a one-day workshop held at the Agartala Press Club on World Sports Journalists Day Wednesday. The workshop, organised by the Tripura Sports Journalists Club and supported by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, saw the participation of around 50 sports journalists.
Dr Saha stressed the importance of skill development in achieving success in any profession and the need for comprehensive knowledge about sports to effectively present technical aspects to the public. He also called for special emphasis on tele-journalism, tailored to the needs of journalists.
The Chief Minister shared his personal experiences in sports including badminton, cross-country running and football.
Eminent sports journalist Gautam Bhattacharya of Kolkata conducted the workshop as a trainer.
