Tripura to check all returnees for Covid-19, says CM

AGARTALA, May 30 2020: Tripura government is actively considering a proposal to check novel coronavirus of all returnees from outside. Spike in Covid-19 cases among the people arriving from different states and Bangladesh has caused a matter of concern.
As of now heath staffs are taking samples from the passengers on 5:1 ratio which has found to be not sufficient to determine the cases.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said Saturday that the government is taking steps to test samples of all arriving passengers from other states and foreign countries. He made the remarks at GBP Hospital after attending a meeting of a committee on welfare of patients.
He was happy to share a note that people at large including those in rural areas have become conscious about the Covid-19 and they are properly adhering to quarantine protocol. Besides administration appointed village level committees are actively discharging assigned duty.
He also lauded services of health staffs and doctors at all level in this time of crisis and need.
