AGARTALA, January 15 2022: Tripura government announced closure of classes upto 7 of all government and private schools till January 30. State’s education minister Ratan Lal Nath Saturday announced that online classes will resume benefiting the students of the suspended classes.
He said decision over resumption of regular classes from pre-primary level to Class 7 would be decided once the current surge of the Covid-19 pandemic makes a wane. Classes of higher sections would continue with 50 percent attendance.
The government has also ordered closure of school and college hostels in view of prevailing health situation.
Tripura is burdened with new spike of coronavirus pandemic with nearly 10 percent positivity rate. Almost three thousand new cases detected over past three days.
