In his first direct interaction, Sonkar met three MLAs including key dissident Sudip Roy Barman who was sacked from the council of ministers in response to his ‘anti party statements’ during last Lok Sabha elections in 2019.
The In-charge met Sudip Roy Barman at his residence Wednesday night over a dinner. MLA Asish Das was also present.
Vinod Kumar Sonkar visited residence of another disgruntled MLA Sushanta Choudhury Thursday morning.
Sources said Sonkar apprised the dissidents their contributions is very important and urged them to work towards strengthening the party. He also assured them that the party values their importance in the organisation.
During meetings Sonkar also underscored need for unity and discipline in the party.
