Sarvasiddhi Agrotech Private Limited helps cow farmers

UDAIPUR (TRIPURA), June 12 2021: Sarvasiddhi Agrotech Private Limited (SAPCL) has extended support to the cow farmers amid Covid-19 pandemic. The company has started buying raw cow milk from the cow farmers from across the state.
‘We used to get reports of milk wastages from time Covid-19 linked lockdown last year. There is not any situation of milk damage this time because the farmers are able to sell milk to SAPCL and the getting actual price as per quality grading system”, said a farmer Ratan Ghosh.
Sumu Sarkar, Manager for milk marketing under Bagma Agri Producer Company Limited (BAPCL), said that the response of farmers is good even the farmers are also getting good price for milk. He said, BAPCL is collecting milk from farmers in order to supply to SAPCL.
The BAPCL is also doing in view to consider the present Covid-19 restrictions for the benefit of cow farmers. A total of 289 number farmers at Bagma area are closely related with BAPCL in order to sell cow milk.
Sudip Majumder, Chairman of BAPCL said, "It is very important time to consider the farmers problem. The company BAPCL is always ready to help the farmers in order to increase the farmers income as double. In the midst of Covid-19 restrictions, the company BAPCL is playing important role in order to advice farmers to takeoff the situation because the rural economy completely depends on farmers’ income as well as farming related activities".
"This time the help of bank is very crucial because the farmers are not able to invest by own and they are borrowing money from micro finance institution in order to start snowing and ploughing. The assistance of bank is more important for farmers in comparison with microfinance institutions. The farmers may get under trap of debt cycle after taking loan from micro finance institution. The government must issue an order for commercial banks in order to provide bank assistance to farmers", Kiran Bhowmik, a PhD in Agricultural Economics said.
The state government doesn't disclose any scheme in favour of farmers benefit yet. The farmers are facing problem in different cases as there are some restrictions due to Covid-19.
They are expecting that the government might declare different schemes for the benefit of cow rearing farmers.
