HYDERABAD, July 09 2020 (HS): With political circles and social media debating on the whereabouts of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the police on Wednesday detained a youth for standing outside CM’s official residence with a placard that read ‘Where is KCR. He is my CM. It's my right to know.’
Claiming to be a worker of the Youth Congress, K Sai Baba suddenly appeared at the gate of Pragati Bhavan holding the placard. He was detained thereafter. Opposition parties have been demanding the government to reveal the CM’s whereabouts.
They have alleged that KCR ‘disappeared’ at a time when the state is witnessing a big surge in Covid-19 cases. Some leaders of the opposition Congress and Communist Party of India (CPI) said they were concerned about his well-being. A TV anchor has requested the Telangana High Court, to direct the government to reveal the health condition and whereabouts of KCR.
State Congress working president and Lok Sabha member A Revanth Reddy took to twitter to demand a bulletin on KCR's health condition. He said that the CM was confined to his farmhouse for the last ten days and there were apprehensions about his health in the wake of increase in the number of Covid-19 cases.
Even Krishna Sagaar Rao, BJP chief spokesperson wanted to know why the Chief Minister was reportedly staying at his farm house when the people of the state were suffering from Covid-19. KCR's last public appearance was on June 28 at the centenary birth anniversary of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao.
