PSO of Tripura Chief Minister contracted Covid-19

AGARTALA, July 29 2020: A Personal Security Officer (PSO) of Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has contracted Covid-19 Wednesday. Government officials confirmed the information, but gave no details.
It has been learnt that measures have been initiated in security circles of the Chief Minister as per standard health protocol concerning coronavirus.
The detection in a high profile section of the government has occurred a day after District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police of Sepahijala district tested positive to the disease.
Six more staffs, including a woman, also exposed to the virus in contact tracing tests.
All of them have been shifted to Sagar Mahal Tourist Lodge which has been made a ‘Paid Covid Care Centre’, also located in the district.
District officials said total 28 staffs of the district administration underwent Antigen test after DM Chandra Kumar Jamatia and SP Krishnendu Chakraborty confirmed contracting infection.
Sample test results of family members of both the officials found negative.
Few days back, state Vice President of the BJP, Ram Pada Jamatia, his spouse and two personal security guards were detected positive for coronavirus.
