PM Modi meets Polish counterpart Donald Tusk in Warsaw
Both vowed to transform association into a Strategic Partnership

GLOBAL, August 22, 2024: India and Poland have decided to transform their association into a Strategic Partnership, marking the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this during a presser following delegation level talks with Polish counterpart Donald Tusk in Warsaw.
Both nations are celebrating the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, which are based on shared values such as democracy and rule of law.
Modi highlighted the importance of India-Poland cooperation on the international stage, stating that both countries agree that reform in the United Nations and other international institutions is necessary to face global challenges. He invited Polish companies to join Make in India and Make for the world and expressed confidence that Poland's support will strengthen relations between India and the EU.
Modi also asserted the need for dialogue and diplomacy for the early restoration of peace and stability in the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and West Asia. He stated that no problem can be solved on the battlefield and that India supports dialogue and diplomacy for the early restoration of peace and stability.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk acknowledged that both sides understand each other well, despite geographical differences and traditions. He praised India's democratic government and said that the world praises India's democratic government.
Modi received a ceremonial welcome at Chancellery in Warsaw, where he also laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.
