Husband Sukhamoy Shil used to torture his wife Bina Rani Shil in various ways, mentally and physically, almost every day during his long marriage of about 25 years.
Bina’s husband is involved in various anti-social activities. Bina Rani never liked the illegal work of her husband Sukhmoy shil. On January 8 last, a dispute broke out with Bina Rani Shil over her husband’s illegal activities.
On the next morning Bina was rescued unconscious from an abandoned place near a rubber plantation about half a Km away from Sukhamoy’s house in Gouranga Bazaar. She was taken to Belonia and finally to GB Hospital after Chottakhola and Bina Rani Shil died at GB Hospital on Sunday night. Veena Sheel's 65-year-old father alleges that her daughter Sukhmoy Sheel forcibly killed her daughter by poisoning her and one of the shepherds of Sukhmoy Sheel, Bipul Sheel, helped in this task.
She alleged that the oxygen max given to Bina while she was undergoing treatment at GB Hospital was removed by her husband without consulting a doctor. Shortly after opening the Oxygen Max, Bina fell to death. Elderly father Narayan filed a case against Sukhmoy Sheel and Bipul Sheel at PR Bari Police Station on January 12 alleging the incident. Firstly police refused to take up the case but later registered a case but did not arrest the accused.
According to Narayan Shil Sharma, Sukhmoy Shil and Bipul Shil are running their illegal business from home in the area but the police are not arresting them. He demanded the trial of his daughter's killer by requesting the state chief minister and the director general of police.
