AGARTALA, May 19 2022: The mighty weather and mood of the public meeting at Kamalasagar in Sepahijala district Thursday has been a copy of the event at Mohanpur in west district on May 10 – few days before unexpected resignation of Biplab Kumar Deb from position of chief minister. People attended the meeting in very large numbers and they did it braving rains.
He addressed the meeting at Mohanpur as the Chief Minister. But even after a week of relinquishing chair, Den continues to be a crowd puller.
None even his overzealous baiters and his seniors in the party would have predicted this, but its happening on the ground everywhere.
“I thank beloved people of Kamalasagar for coming in large numbers despite heavy rains and making the programme successful”, Deb said in his social media page. He made no hide that support of people from grassroots motivates him and boosts his energy level.
At Kamalasagar he highlighted issues pertaining women empowerment attributing this as an instrument for attaining overall development of society. After public meeting he met with women groups and inquired about implementation of various schemes.
He said was happy to interact with the children of Kamalasagar Anganwadi and the attached workers, and mingled with the enthusiastic youths.
Former Chief Minister paid a visit to the house of local Sanjay Sarkar at Kamalasagar only to find he has made a toilet from grants under the PMAY scheme.
