Big catch: Assam Rifles confiscates 2,60,000 Yaba tablets

AGARTALA, September 26, 2024: Assam Rifles in another big catch this month confiscated 2,60,000 Yaba tablets - a popular drug known for its addictive combination of methamphetamine and caffeine. The operation in Khayerpur area in west Tripura Thursday also resulted in the seizure of a vehicle.
The paramilitary force in a statement said the drugs valued at Rs 52 crores in the international market. It highlighted the success as part of a larger anti-drug campaign spearheaded by the central and state governments.
This marks the latest in a series of successful operations by Assam Rifles, which have led to the recovery of drugs worth crores of rupees.
