Agartala Public School engages in plantation drive

AGARTALA, June 13 2021: Jun 13. English medium Agartala Public School in association with the Tripura State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) initiated impressive plantation drives that to continue in June and July.
To mark the World Environment Day and ensuing Vanamohatsav celebration, Agartala Public School authority along with local people of Chandrapur area launched planting saplings of high-priced trees in nearby areas of the school.
More than 100 saplings will be planted in two months while near about 100 saplings will be distributed among the local people.
The Agartala Public School claimed “Each and every person should plant a sapling for their children’s better future. Agartala once had many big trees, but now many were chopped off.”
Locally called Mehagani, Bokul, Batt, Tetul, Neem, Boira, Jalpoi and Jaam saplings are available for plantation and distribution.
