1st Northeast India Organic Week, APEDA Buyer–Seller Meet

REGIONAL, November 29, 2025: The four-day international programme, including the APEDA Buyer–Seller Meet, 1st Northeast India Organic Week and 4th IFOAM World Organic Youth Summit, inaugurated Saturday at Courtyard by Marriott in Shillong. Organised by the Government of Meghalaya in collaboration with various organisations, the back to back events connected international buyers and organic experts from 22 countries.

Abhishek Dev, Chairman of APEDA, underlined the event's role in enhancing the global visibility of Northeast India’s organic produce and announced plans to make it an annual affair to promote regional organic value chains.

The event focuses on strengthening market linkages, promoting sustainable agriculture and fostering youth leadership through dialogue and collaboration featuring B2B sessions and cultural programs.
