Yhome, President of the Naga Mothers' Association, dies
KOHIMA: Vilanuo Angela Yhome, President of the Naga Mothers' Association, a powerful social organisation in Nagaland, has passed away Friday morning. Nagaland Governor and Chief Minister expressed their profound grief over her demise.
Yhome was 67. She had been suffering from illness for some months.
Governor Nand Kishore Yadav, in a statement, said the late Vilanuo Angela Yhome will be remembered for her unwavering commitment, dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the welfare of the community. Her leadership, compassion, and tireless efforts have left a lasting impact on the lives of many and her absence will be deeply felt.
"I, on behalf of the people of Nagaland and on my own behalf, convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, members of the Mothers' Association, and all those whose lives she touched. May the Almighty grant them strength and solace to bear this irreparable loss," the Governor added.
Meanwhile, the Chandel Naga People’s Organisation (CNPO) expressed deep condolences on the death of Vilanuo Angela Yhome.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 am Saturday at Christ the King Church, Kohima.
