Weapon & equipment display for NCC cadets during CATC
AGARTALA: The Assam Rifles hosted an interactive Weapon and Equipment Display for NCC cadets during the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC)-50 at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel in Agartala. The event was attended by over 500 NCC cadets from the 13 Tripura Battalion providing a unique chance for them to gain firsthand exposure to the Indian Armed Forces’ equipment and operational capabilities.
The display showcased an array of infantry weapons and military equipment, including assault rifles, machine guns, mortars, rocket launchers and other specialised operational tools. Personnel from the Assam Rifles engaged directly with the cadets, offering explanations on the role, handling, capabilities and usage of each system in a safe and informative manner.
The event included demonstrations and encouraged cadets to ask questions and enhancing the educational experience and ensuring high engagement levels.
This initiative aimed to inspire youth towards nation-building, create awareness of the Armed Forces and motivate potential recruits to consider careers in defense. The cadets expressed enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity to interact closely with Assam Rifles personnel and engage with military equipment.
