Walking Lens-3rd Edition to inspire hope through photography
AGARTALA: The Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society (MMCWS) Saturday announced the upcoming 3rd Edition of the Walking Lens, an annual photography exhibition to be held from July 10 to 12 at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala. This event not only showcases artistic photography but also serves as a platform to raise awareness about cancer and garner support for those affected by the disease merging creativity with compassion.
Walking Lens invites participation from photographers, artists, students and enthusiasts from throughout Tripura aiming to create a community-focused event that promotes dialogue and understanding surrounding cancer issues. The exhibition will feature a wide array of photographic categories including Nature, Wildlife, Culture, Heritage, Tourism, Street Photography, People, Landscape and Everyday Life.
In addition to the photographic displays, attendees can look forward to cultural performances, interactive sessions and networking opportunities with fellow art lovers and photographers.
Photographers of all levels—professionals, amateurs, students and hobbyists—are encouraged to submit their work to contribute to this significant cause. Proceeds from the exhibition will directly support the humanitarian efforts of the MMCWS, which include cancer awareness programs, early detection initiatives, patient care assistance, blood donation campaigns and financial aid for economically disadvantaged cancer patients.
The organisers are reaching out to educational institutions, photography clubs, media organisations, corporate partners and the general public to participate and lend support to this noble cause.
