AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha launched the Mukhyamantri Samipesu (Meet Your CM) initiative virtually aiming to connect with distressed residents across various districts to address their issues. This initiative, now in its 66th episode Wednesday saw participation from individuals primarily in Agartala and surrounding areas with a specific focus on district-wise outreach.

The inaugural session featured the Dhalai district where 35 people joined.

Dr Saha stressed the need for this programme to solve a spectrum of community problems. He noted that while past sessions in Agartala had involved more specific issues, Dhalai residents brought forth a wide array of concerns encompassing education, health, higher education and financial assistance.

With the presence of district officials including the District Magistrate (DM) and medical professionals, the platform allowed for an efficient virtual consultation where remedies were provided for attendees' issues.

Among the participants, a significant number identified as Janajati shared their challenges and expressed satisfaction with the proceedings. Dr Saha assured that issues related to land, education and health were documented and would be addressed by officials for proper follow-up and resolution.

He characterised this approach as innovative and noted its uniqueness in the context of governance aiming for comprehensive support across other districts and sub-divisions in the future. Health Department Secretary Kiran Gitte along with other departmental officials supported this public engagement initiative.
