Tripura Global Pineapple Festival 2026 in national capital
AGARTALA: The Tripura Global Pineapple Festival 2026 is scheduled to take place at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi from June 27 to 29. The event aims to showcase Tripura's agricultural heritage, particularly its pineapple industry.
Tripura Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath, ministers and senior officials from various departments attended a high-level review meeting convend to prepare modalities for the festival.
The festival will run daily from 11 am to 9 pm and will include a special reception for pineapple farmers along with showcases that promote Tripura's tourism and cultural heritage. Approximately 25 departmental stalls will be established providing insight into various government initiatives and products.
The festival not only aims to display agricultural achievements and cultural performances but is also designed to enhance the global visibility of Tripura's pineapple industry, Minister Nath said. He highlighted the festival's potential to increase farmers' income, open new export channels and strengthen the agro-based economy of the state.
Logistical arrangements and interdepartmental coordination were discussed at the meeting to ensure the event's successful execution.
