The State-level Kho-Kho competition for under-17
AGARTALA: The State-level Kho-Kho competition for Under-17 is set to take place from September 1 to 3 at the grounds of Manu XII Grade School in the Sabroom subdivision, south Tripura. The event will feature two categories: boys and girls.
A preparatory meeting was convened at the Satchand Panchayat Samiti chaired by Deepak Dutta, the chairman of the South Tripura Zilla Parishad. Participants of the meeting included Prabas Lodh, Chairman of the Satchand Panchayat Samiti, Suman Rakshit, the subdivisional magistrate of Sabroom and Souradeep Debnath, the Community Development Officer.
Representatives from the Youth Affairs and Sports Department headed by official Jimmy Debbarma and various other departmental officials were also present.
The meeting focused on several essential aspects to ensure the competition's smooth conduct including the overall preparations, field infrastructure, accommodation for players, security measures, medical services and other arrangements necessary for a successful event. An official from the Sports Department announced that a total of 16 teams divided into boys and girls categories from 8 districts of the state will participate.
Deepak Dutta stressed the need for collective cooperation to ensure the competition is successful.
