
WORLD: Electronics manufacturing company Tata Electronics has partnered with Dutch semiconductor equipment leader ASML to facilitate chip manufacturing in India, a collaboration announced during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Netherlands Saturday. ASML holds a significant position in the market for lithography equipment, essential for producing advanced small-sized semiconductors.
The agreement involves ASML aiding in the establishment and operational ramp-up of Tata Electronics' forthcoming 300 mm semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, Gujarat.
This partnership marks a pivotal development in the growing strategic ties between India and the Netherlands, particularly in critical technologies like semiconductor manufacturing. According to ASML's President and CEO, Christophe Fouquet, the burgeoning semiconductor industry in India presents numerous opportunities.
