Sushanta Chowdhury chairs board meeting of the TTDC
AGARTALA: The Tripura government is focused on enhancing tourism facilities across various locations within the state outlining the timely completion of ongoing developmental projects. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury highlighted the implementation of several initiatives aimed at upgrading modern amenities at both historical and nature tourism sites.
Minister was speaking at the 40th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Tripura Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) here Tuesday.
Chowdhury specifically inquired about the status of developments at Matabari Circuit House, Amar Sagar Lake and Dumboor Lake as well as future projects including a floating restaurant at Neermahal and Chhabimura and the construction of tourist lodges at various locations. He also sought updates on the financial condition of the TTDC.
Secretary of the tourism department Uttam Kumar Chakma and Director Prashant Badal Negi presented an overview of the previous meeting's decisions, ongoing development efforts and the corporation's financial performance. Among those present were PK Goyal, Secretary of the finance department, RK Samal, PCCF, Anup Kumar Das, chief engineer of PWD, Hena Debbarma, deputy secretary of the home department and other officials.
