State-level volleyball competition for Under-17 boys and girls
AGARTALA: A state-level volleyball competition for Under-17 boys and girls commenced Thursday in Dharmanagar, inaugurated by Aparna Nath, Chairperson of the North Tripura Zilla Parishad. The event, organised by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, is taking place at the BBI Ground.
The competition has participation of 16 teams representing boys and girls from eight districts of Tripura. The tournament will run for three days.
Bhabatosh Das (Vice-Chairperson of the North Tripura Zilla Parishad), Mitali Rani Das Sen (Chairperson of the Dharmanagar Municipal Council), Bibhabati Goswami (Assistant Director of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports), Phirun Tripura (District Education Officer) and social worker Kajal Kumar Das graced the inaugural ceremony.
In her opening remarks, Aparna Nath underscored the importance of nurturing the talents of the players through this tournament while Bibhaban Goswami welcomed the guests and participants.
