Ratha Yatra: Power Minister urges strict safety adherence
AGARTALA: Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath urged strict adherence to safety guidelines from the district administration and the Tripura State Electricity Corporation (TSECL) to ensure a safe Ratha Yatra celebration. Emphasising that Ratha Yatra represents harmony, tradition and devotion, he highlighted the importance of community cooperation for a peaceful event requesting organisers to follow the approved chariot routes and avoid using metal materials in construction to mitigate risks associated with high-voltage power lines.
Vigilance from Electricity Corporation officials is planned, but he stressed the shared responsibility of organizers and devotees to prevent accidents through strict compliance with safety protocols. He expressed hopes for happiness, peace and prosperity in Tripura, invoking the blessings of Lord Jagannath for continued progress and well-being in the state.
The Minister reiterated his appeal by encouraging a safe, orderly and joyous celebration of Rath Yatra, reiterating his best wishes for the festival.
