"Sahkar se Samriddhi", regional Workshop on Cooperatives
REGIONAL: A meeting of Cooperation Secretaries and the Ministry of Cooperation, alongside NABARD and the Mizoram Government, held a Northeast India Regional Workshop on Cooperatives in Aizawl Saturday. Chaired by Dr Ashish Kumar Butani, the workshop highlighted the importance of Cooperative Societies in the North Eastern states focusing on regional economic transformation and digital empowerment.
Keynote speaker Dr Shaji KV stressed the need for active involvement in remote areas and shared success stories from Assam and Tripura. Discussions included enhancing cooperative banking, value chains, and market linkages with a significant emphasis on the World’s Largest Grain Storage Plan.
The event concluded with commitments to promote cooperative-led development and ensure inclusive growth across the region embodying the vision of "Sahkar se Samriddhi."
