Prime Minister congratulates Major Abhilasha on UN Honour
WORLD / NATIONAL: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday congratulated Major Abhilasha Barak for receiving the UN Military Gender Advocate of the Year Award. In a social media post, he highlighted that this recognition acknowledges Major Barak’s exemplary service and underscores India's significant contributions to United Nations peacekeeping efforts.
Prime Minister highlighted that Major Barak's accomplishment serves as an inspiration for many young Indians, particularly daughters, who aspire to serve both the nation and humanity.
Major Barak currently holds the position of Engagement Team Commander and Gender Focal Point within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
