Penalty shootout and tug of war organised at Pungro
PUNGRO: As part of the 80th Independence Day celebration, Saramati Nexus Club, Pungro organised an open penalty shootout at Public Ground, Pungro. The event was inaugurated by ADC Pungro, Hotolu Sema.
A total of 36 teams participated in the competition. Pewrenvong FC claimed the championship title and received a cash prize of Rs 20,000, while Surayin FC finished runner's up and received a cash prize of Rs 10,000. Varite of Pewrenvong FC was awarded the best goal keeper title.
A Tug of war was also organised where various wards under Pungro Town. Forest Ward emerged victorious and was awarded cash prize of Rs 5000.
