Paramilitary Assam Rifles organises Freedom Run
AGARTALA: In celebration of the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, paramilitary Assam Rifles organised a Freedom Run Sunday in Radhanagar, Agartala. This event was designed to promote themes of patriotism, national unity and collective pride, bringing together Assam Rifles personnel and local community members.
The Freedom Run commenced with a detailed talk focusing on the origins, historical significance and lasting legacy of Vande Mataram. The discussion highlighted its vital role in inspiring the Indian freedom movement and underscored its continued significance as a powerful emblem of patriotism and national consciousness.
Following the talk, participants engaged in a spirited 5km run proudly carrying the National Flag and displaying enthusiastic patriotic fervour along the route. This strong turnout from the local populace reflected a sense of camaraderie and a shared national identity.
