Outgoing Indian HC meets Bangladesh Prime Minister
WORLD: Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Pranay Verma made a farewell visit to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at Dhaka Sunday. During this meeting, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Verma's role in strengthening bilateral relations and extended best wishes for his upcoming assignment.
Verma underscored India's commitment to enhancing multifaceted engagement with Bangladesh aiming for mutual benefits and shared prosperity for both nations.
The discussion included potential areas of cooperation aligned with the development priorities of both countries.
For nearly four years, Verma served as India's envoy in Dhaka, navigating the political landscape that included interactions with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Interim Government's Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus and now Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
As part of his farewell activities, Verma also hosted a reception for senior journalists in Dhaka highlighting his efforts to engage with the media community during his tenure.
