NCC Cadet Rajshree Roy reaches the summit of Mt Rhenok
REGIONAL: In a significant achievement for the 4 Assam Battalion NCC, Cadet Rajshree Roy from Karimganj College successfully reached the summit of Mt Rhenok on May 18, 2026 at 10:30 am. At an altitude of 5,030 metres (16,500 feet), this remarkable feat occurred despite severe cold conditions and cold-related injuries endured during the expedition.
Rajshree's extraordinary attributes of courage, determination and resilience were vital in overcoming the challenges posed by the harsh terrain, extreme altitude and unpredictable weather. 
Rajshree, a BA 4th Semester student and daughter of Sajal Roy, holds the registration number AS2024SWIA4780054 with the 4 Assam Battalion NCC. This accomplishment marks her as the first cadet from the 4 Assam Battalion and the first girl from the Barak Valley to successfully summit Mt Rhenok, creating a landmark achievement in both the battalion's history and the local region.
The expedition was rigorous and tested the participants' limits, requiring exemplary discipline, teamwork, leadership, and perseverance.
