
REGIONAL: The second day of the Moatsü cum Mini Hornbill Festival at Longpayimsen Village in Nagaland Sunday saw attendance of Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who highlighted the festival's deeper significance beyond celebration. He stressed its role in promoting gratitude, community bonding and harmony with nature asserting that true national progress derives from character and social harmony rather than just infrastructure.
Shekhawat praised Nagaland as a symbol of India's rich diversity advocating for a balance between tradition and modernity. He emphasized the importance of cultural tourism in community development and announced governmental support for inclusive tourism, particularly in Northeast India.
He concluded by urging collective responsibility in preserving and celebrating cultural traditions.
