Max Hospital Shalimar Bagh launches Oncology OPD

By A Contributor Jul 11, 2026

DIBRUGARH: Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Saturday announced the launch of its Oncology OPD services at Apeksha Hospital, Dibrugarh. The OPD services were launched in the presence of Dr Anadi Pachaury, Associate Director and Unit Head - Surgical Oncology and Dr Aman Rastogi, Consultant - Surgical Oncology, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh.

Dr Anadi Pachaury and Dr Aman Rastogi will be available on the 2nd Friday of every month from 10 am to 1 pm at Apeksha Hospital, Dibrugarh, for primary consultations & follow-ups.

Dr Anadi Pachaury, Associate Director & Unit Head, Surgical Oncology, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, said, “Cancer care has evolved significantly over the years, and today the focus is on delivering personalised, multidisciplinary treatment tailored to each patient's specific condition. Surgery continues to play a central role, particularly when cancer is detected early and remains localised. For individuals with inherited cancer syndromes, preventive surgery may also be considered to reduce future risk. The advent of minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques has further transformed cancer surgery by offering greater precision, fewer complications, less pain, and quicker recovery. However, regardless of the technology available, early diagnosis and timely treatment remain the most important factors in achieving better survival and long-term outcomes.”

Dr Aman Rastogi, Consultant - Surgical Oncology, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, said, “Early detection remains one of the most powerful tools in the fight against cancer, as it significantly improves treatment outcomes and, in many cases, allows the disease to be treated effectively before it spreads. People should never ignore warning signs such as unexplained weight loss, persistent fatigue, unusual lumps or swellings, abnormal bleeding, changes in bowel or bladder habits, or non-healing ulcers. Prevention is equally important and includes avoiding tobacco, adopting a healthy lifestyle, getting recommended vaccinations such as HPV and Hepatitis B and being aware of one's family history and genetic risk factors. Through our dedicated Oncology OPD services in Dibrugarh, patients can now access expert cancer consultations closer to home, enabling timely diagnosis, appropriate treatment planning, and high-quality care without the need to travel long distances.”

Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, is committed to expanding access to world-class cancer care and remains dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of individuals across the region through innovative, high-quality medical solutions.
