By PIB Jul 27, 2026

AGARTALA: Demonstrating a unified approach to national security and infrastructure protection, Spear Corps of Indian Army has initiated a comprehensive two week specialized training programme for Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel deployed at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport, Agartala from July 27 at Agartala Military Station.

Organised under the overarching framework of Military-Civil Fusion, this joint initiative aims to synergise operational expertise, upgrade tactical preparedness and fortify critical aviation infrastructure against evolving security challenges.

Over the course of 14 days, experienced instructors from Indian Army will train CISF personnel in advanced security protocols, focusing on key operational areas including Industrial and Critical Infrastructure Security, Vital Area & Vital Point Security, Quick Reaction Team Drills and Counter Drone Operations & Threat Mitigation.

"Modern security challenges require a seamless, integrated response across agencies," said a representative overseeing the training. "By combining the tactical combat prowess of the Indian Army with the specialized aviation security mandate of the CISF, this joint effort significantly enhances the overall defense posture of Agartala’s premier gateway."

The training program highlights the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to building capacity and fostering operational synergy with Central Armed Police Forces. Upon completion, the participating CISF personnel will return to their active duties at MBB Airport with enhanced tactical readiness and modernized threat-mitigation skills.
