G7 nations unveil initiatives to address global health
NATIONAL / WORLD: The G7 nations have unveiled several initiatives aimed at addressing global health and development collaborations with visible contributions from partner countries such as India. In response to the renewed Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, the G7 leaders stressed the necessity for a coordinated global approach advocating for measures like contact tracing, border surveillance and community engagement.
Countries including India, Egypt, Kenya and South Korea echoed this call for stronger actions and pledged support for the development of vaccines, diagnostics and treatments targeting the rare Ebola strain.
The G7 reiterated its commitment to advancing the global battle against cancer.
