REGIONAL: The Personnel & Administrative Reforms (P&AR) Department of Nagaland issued a directive urging all government departments to fully cooperate with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe cases of fraudulent salary drawls and multiple pension claims by government employees. A circular from the P&AR Department highlights the importance of compliance with the requests received from the SIT and mandates that all necessary documents and information be provided accurately and promptly.
Designated Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) and those responsible for establishment matters are tasked with coordinating efforts with the SIT to ensure the timely collection, verification and submission of relevant records. The circular also stresses the need for confidentiality, integrity and secure custody of all materials shared during the investigation.
The P&AR Department warns that any delays, non-compliance or incomplete submissions could hinder the investigation and will be taken seriously. Heads of Departments are urged to guarantee strict adherence to these directives to facilitate the investigation process effectively.
