
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the passing of King Harald V of the Kingdom of Norway. Recalling his meeting with His Majesty during his visit to Norway earlier this year, Modi remembered his warmth and profound sense of service to the people and nation of Norway.

I fondly recall meeting His Majesty during my visit to Norway earlier this year and was deeply touched by his warmth and profound sense of service to his nation. My heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and the people of Norway.
King Harald V of Norway, Europe’s oldest reigning monarch, died Friday aged 89, the Royal Palace announced. He passed away at the National Hospital in Oslo at 6:35 am.
