Development, public welfare are goals of the government: CM
AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha reaffirmed the Tripura government's commitment to development and public welfare aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision.
During the inauguration of various projects in Gomati district Tuesday, he highlighted efforts to combat non-communicable diseases through screenings for people over 30 years of age with a target of 1.5 million screenings annually. Initiatives such as the Mukhyamantri Niramaya Arogya Abhiyan aim to enhance healthcare accessibility, exemplified by the inauguration of a 50-bed civil hospital providing 24/7 OPD services.
Dr Saha presided over inauguration of 11 projects worth Rs 105.73 crore with a focus on infrastructure enhancement and an ambitious capital expenditure of Rs 10,000 crore. He remarked on the success of recently held Destination Tripura Conclave 2026, where MoUs surpassed targets by reaching Rs 1.21 lakh crore.
The government has adopted the HIRA Model, contributing to a significant increase in the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and the acquisition of over 350 national awards while planning future projects for the next generation.
Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, MLAs, dignitaries and government officials were in attendance.
