CM inaugurates various projects of municipal corporation
AGARTALA: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha stressed the vision for a developed Tripura that includes both modern cities and villages highlighting the intention to enhance the digital system for more efficient delivery of government services to the populace. He made the statement during inauguration of various civic projects of the Agartala Municipal Corporation at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala Thursday.
The Chief Minister expressed the commitment to develop digital services across all municipal areas not just in Agartala and underlined the state government's primary objective to ensure the welfare of its residents. He spoke on the importance of goodwill in facilitating development stating that numerous projects are advancing across the state due to the current government's dedication.
Such initiatives require collaboration from government employees, officials and public representatives to ensure transparent and punctual implementation specifically referencing the Agartala Smart City Mission.
Dr Saha in his address acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi's work-centric philosophy and conveyed a strong intention for the state government to operate in a similarly active manner. He stressed that to achieve a higher quality of life at an affordable cost, the government aims to roll out more development projects that can enhance living conditions for the citizens.
Chief Minister encouraged a proactive approach among all stakeholders to implement these initiatives effectively and transparently, reminding public representatives of their role and responsibility in serving the community and earning public trust.
Dr Saha also highlighted Agartala's potential to evolve into a modern city within the northeastern region while ensuring the preservation of the area's cultural and historical heritage. He posited that the true success of developmental work is gauged by the citizens' acknowledgment and appreciation of improvements in their daily experiences.
He called for collective action from all segments of society, including clubs and social organizations, to maintain a clean, healthy and drug-free environment in Agartala.
During the event, several projects were inaugurated, including the Sabuj Sena, Chandinamura Waste Transfer Centre and the Amar Agartala App, alongside the presentation of a state-of-the-art smoke cannon intended for mosquito control to municipal workers.
Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor, Deputy Mayor, dignitaries and senior officials attended the programme.
