
AGARTALA: Triprua Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha focused the responsibility of teachers to enhance knowledge and effective teaching at a function held by the School Education Department where appointment letters were distributed to 865 postgraduate teachers. He highlighted the pride teachers should take in their students' successes and the importance of combining quality teaching with modern educational technologies.
During the event at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan here Thursday, the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to 34 newly appointed educators. He outlined the state government's commitment to swiftly filling departmental vacancies while ensuring transparency in job appointments.
Candidates are selected based solely on qualifications, eliminating the need for recommendations. This process has enabled 21,825 educated youths to secure jobs across various sectors since 2018, alongside the recruitment of 7,104 teachers specifically within the School Education Department.
Dr Saha reiterated the importance of teachers understanding student mentalities, encouraging good relationships and creating conducive environments for learning. He asserted that the government aims to enhance quality education in the state while developing educational infrastructure transparently and systematically.
Since 2018, 24,078 candidates have also been appointed on a contractual and outsourcing basis illustrating the government's expansive recruitment efforts across education and other public sectors, he added.
