
AGARTALA: Pradip Chandra Paul, a resident of Amtali near Agartala returned to India after being imprisoned for illegally entering Bangladesh. He was released from Habiganj District Jail , where he had served a sentence of approximately 1 year and 4 months and was handed over to Indian authorities at the Pahardmura BSF gate in Khowai district Monday.
The extradition process was carried out in a respectful and orderly manner, with the involvement of high-ranking officials from both Indian and Bangladeshi border froces and police administrations. Among the attendees were Khowai Police Station OC Krishnadhan Sarkar and BSF Company Commander Ashok Kumar representing India and BGB Camp In-charge Md Daud Hossain and others from Bangladesh.
The family members of Pradip expressed their gratitude for the humanitarian efforts that facilitated his return after the legal proceedings.
