Suspension of ex-SP Ajit Pratap Singh revoked

AGARTALA, November 15, 2019: Tripura government Friday revoked suspension of former west Tripura district Superintendent of Police Ajit Pratap Singh. The General Administration Department issued relevant order Friday.
Sing was put under suspension on October 17 after a massive search failed to track down CPI(M) veteran and former minister who is indicted in Rs 640 PWD scam of 2008.
The state government had also removed DIG (Southern Range) Arindom Nath from his position and attached him in police headquarters without any portfolio.
Altogether 10 police officers and personnel of different ranks were put under suspension on Badal Choudhury fiasco.
Sources said government is actively considering matters concerning other suspended police men.
