Former Secretary to PM Yugandhar dies aged 82

AGARTALA, September 16, 2019: Prominent social worker and former Secretary to the Prime Ministers BN Yugandhar passed away on September 13 in Hyderabad. He was 82.
He was a member to the Advisory Committee of the Forum for Policy Dialogue on Water Conflicts in India with its headquarters in Pune.
A post graduate in Economics, BN Yugandhar was an IAS officer of the 1962 batch. He served as a Secretary to the Prime Minister of India (PV Narasimha Rao) between 1995 and 1997.
He was a secretary to the Ministry of Rural areas and Employment, Government of India (1993-95) and Secretary to the Planning of Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Andhra Pradesh (1986-88).
BN Yugandhar was the founder Managing Trustee of WASSAN (1999-2004) and will be remembered for his work for the poor, the rural people and the tribals for securing their rights and livelihoods.
