Ex MP, Minister Bajuban Reang dies aged 79

AGARTALA, February 22, 2020: Bajuban Reang, one of pillars of CPI(M) organisation in Tripura, former Lok Sabha Member and Minister in left front governments in the state, passed away Friday night. He was 79.
The leader created a history of sort by winning from East Tripura Lok Sabha constituency for seven times in a row. He was a member of CPI(M) central committee.
Bajuban Reang died within hours of his admission at a private hospital here. Senior CPI(M) leaders rushed to the hospital after hearing the sad news.
Family sources said he was not keeping well for some time and had to be admitted in hospital after deterioration of his health condition. He left behind his widowed wife, a son and a daughter.
His mortal remains will be donated to Agartala Medical College Saturday to fulfil his last wishes.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has expressed grief over demise of Bajuban Reang. He expressed sympathy for the bereaved family.
